POSITION SUMMARY
Event Technicians are responsible for packing, transporting, installation and breakdown of all décor items needed for events. This includes, but is not limited to floral arrangements, glassware, props, furniture, lighting equipment and linens.

Event Technicians need to be able to safely maneuver company trucks, vans, and automobiles in a timely manner to transport décor items. Each team member is expected to assist when and where necessary to ensure flawless execution. The Event Technician will be expected to perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Inventory and Equipment Usage
•    Actively and accurately follows delivery paperwork and guidance from the Team Leader.
•    Observes safety and sanitation procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
•    Possesses ability to use job specific equipment with minimal supervision (i.e. inventory props such as glass vases, candelabras etc).
Guest Relations/Customer Service
•    When encountering guests or other vendors in a venue or at the Beautiful Blooms Studio, Set Up/Breakdown team members are expected to greet them in a polite and courteous manner.
•    Exemplifies and exhibits BB Core Values and Mission Statement on a consistent basis.
•    Treats guests with care and respect at all times.
•    Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, at least 25 years of age 
Work Experience: 1-2 years related experience and/or training
This role requires night and weekend availability.
Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
Mathematical: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT
(Frequency of mobility, lifting, climbing, standing, siting, reaching, speaking, vision, color vision, outdoors/indoors, noise level, fumes/odor, chemical exposure or any other environmental hazards)
•    Prolonged periods of standing, climbing/balancing, stooping/bending. 
•    Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. 
•    Requires ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
•    Ability to sustain long periods of loud noise and vibrations.
•    Use of color vision and vision.
•    Ability to work in an outdoor environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, or snow.
