Volunteer Coordinator – Suite Bee Floral Design
Full-time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Suite Bee Floral Design Volunteer Coordinator supports recruitment, training, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination of volunteers who create fresh and silk floral arrangements for HopeWest programs. This role oversees the production of floral pieces for sale at Heirlooms at HopeWest, as well as floral arrangements for special events and other organizational needs. This role assists with coordinating floral production for Heirlooms at HopeWest, special events, and internal organizational needs, while helping maintain quality standards and a positive, creative, and mission-centered volunteer environment.

The Coordinator maintains working knowledge of Volunteer Services policies and procedures and supports volunteer compliance through guidance, training, and collaboration with Volunteer Services leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Colorado Drivers license, adequate automobile insurance and unlimited access to reliable transportation maintained throughout employment.
  • Able to work in a variety of environments.

COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior floral arranging experience is required (fresh and/or silk).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to guide and support volunteers in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates creativity through hands-on design work, using color, texture, and materials to create arrangements and décor that align with HopeWest mission.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods while working in floral and volunteer workspaces
  • Use hands and fingers to handle flowers, tools, supplies, and small equipment
  • Reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist as needed to arrange materials and prepare work areas
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials such as floral supplies, containers, and décor items weighing up to 25 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Perform repetitive motions, including cutting, arranging, and assembling floral materials
  • Visually inspect work for quality, detail, and safety
  • Communicate effectively with volunteers and staff in person and by phone

Pay and Benefits: 

  • Hourly pay: $19.89 - $22.00
