Part-Time Floral Designer

Overview of the Position:

This position is perfect for someone who loves working with flowers and wants to gain or utilize experience in floral design. You will assist with the preparation of floral arrangements, including stem prepping, bouquet creation, and more. Flexibility is key, as the position requires working evenings, weekends, and occasional shifts based on store needs.  

Responsibilities:

· Prep flowers and stems for floral arrangements

· Assist in creating floral designs, including bouquets and centerpieces

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral workspace

· Stock and replenish floral supplies as needed

· Provide excellent customer service, helping customers with floral inquiries and orders

· Support the team in other tasks as necessary to ensure smooth department operations

Qualifications:

• Floral design experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Passionate about flowers, plants, and creating stunning arrangements
• Upbeat, positive, and always looking for the beauty in life
• Reliable, trustworthy, and a strong work ethic
• Excellent customer service skills with a creative eye for detail
• Enthusiastic team player who thrives in both busy and calm environments
• English proficiency, Spanish is a plus!
• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S. 
• Reliable transportation required
• Non-slip shoes required for safety (not provided)

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision

· Capability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)

· Skilled in both gross and fine manipulation

· Peripheral vision and near/far visual accuracy

· Effectively hear and respond to instructions in a bustling environment

· Manual dexterity 

· Use of step-stools and ladders as needed

· Reaching above, at, and below waist level

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move fluidly around

· Comfortable working in diverse temperatures (hot, humid, cold) and tolerating moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents

· Able to handle a wide variety of fresh ingredients without adverse allergic reactions

· Maintain stability and balance while executing tasks efficiently

· Convey instructions clearly and communicate with team members effectively, even in busy or noisy environments
