START DATE & WORK SCHEDULE
Up to 40 hours per week, variable schedules—days, evenings, and weekends.
Planting, watering, weeding, mulching, pruning, and fe1iilizing various plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees. Monitoring plants and identifying and addressing issues like pests and diseases. Deadheading flowers and maintaining the overall appearance of plant beds. Maintaining garden layouts and landscaped areas. Removing debris and litter from plant beds and surrounding areas.
SPECIAL SKILLS & TRAINING
Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s license with good driving record. Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with other employees. Must be able to understand and follow oral instructions. Pesticide license and CDL desired not required. Good customer service skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and complete basic written reports required.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience with landscaping, operation and maintenance. Horticulturist experience preferred but not required.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
