As a Horticulturist you will be responsible for providing our members and their guests with an unparalleled landscape experience that consistently represents The Cliffs vision at the Club House, Wellness Center and throughout the Golf Course.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Be highly detail oriented.
• Develop, implement, and maintain plantings at the Club House, Wellness Center, and Golf Course
• Pruning, fertilizing, pest management and watering or trees, shrubs, flowers
• Bid and acquire plant material.
• Daily preparation of Club House and Wellness Center grounds, blowing leaves, limb and stick removal.
• Manage small teams of employees to complete projects.
• Supervise 1 to 2 staff members during peak season to assist in daily operations. 
• Be able to operate mowers and trimmers.
• Maintain mulch beds keeping them weed free and looking fresh. 
• Be able to work weekends and holidays.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• Degree/Certificate in Horticulture
• Sound knowledge of plant material and their use in a landscapes and different microclimates 
• Expertise in pruning
• Mixing and spraying fertilizer and compound experience is required, Pesticide License is a plus.
• Irrigation installation, troubleshooting, repair, and scheduling a plus
• Basic understanding of operating lawn care equipment and its safety procedures
• Managing staff
