The Floral Manager at Cosentino's Price Chopper is expected to lead and oversee all aspects of the floral department, ensuring exceptional customer service and profitability. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership abilities, capable of managing inventory, coordinating schedules, and providing administrative support. A preferred candidate will have floral skills for any time of arrangement including weddings to funerals.  Previous retail work environment preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the floral department, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Develop and implement floral arrangements and displays, demonstrating creativity and planning skills.
• Oversee the scheduling of floral staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient time management.
• Train and mentor floral staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Coordinate special events and promotions, contributing to the overall success of the department.
• Utilize Microsoft Office for administrative support tasks, including reporting and communication.
• Demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example and motivating the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• General knowledge of floral design principles and techniques.
• Working knowledge of inventory practices.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a floral management role.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Leadership experience in a retail setting.
