Your Future Role:

Our floral designers are artists with flowers and plants.  Their creativity and passion are what separates us from 1-800 Flowers and other mass merchants.  This position quickly and beautifully creates both custom and "program" floral arrangements, designs and more.  Being part of a Garden Center allows our florist more creativity with thousands of plants, gifts, decor and more at their fingertips as well as the best floriculture/horticulture learning environment in norther Nevada.  Floral designers create arrangements from small to large and work both as part of a team and individually. This role serves both our in-person and remote customers (eCommerce and phone) providing both with the support necessary to assist the customer choose the best option - you will make them look like heroes.  In addition, this role welcomes our customers upon their arrival, uses a point-of-sale software and thanks them for their patronage when they leave.

Your Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Shows up on time ready work
• Greets customers with a warm smile
• Communicates with customers over the phone
• Promptly responds to customer needs, requests for service or assistance
• Completes daily orders for delivery and will calls
• Produces fresh and permanent arrangements for retail sales
• Uses computerized Point of Sale System to accurately itemize and total customer purchases
• Uses dispatch management software to help route deliveries
• Receives payments and distributes change 
• Maintains a cash drawer
• Participates with Floral team leader with sales & designs for events
• Helps complete monthly inventory
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace
• Participates in cleaning and organizing throughout the floral area and beyond
• Learns as much as they can
• Answers questions concerning price, sales, services and programs 
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Thanks, our customers each and every time they visit!

Physical Requirements & Activity:

• Applicant must be able to lift 25 lbs
• Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• Must have a positive attitude, passion for flower and a willingness to learn
• Limited experience necessary - 1 year of Floral Design experience preferred

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:

• Valid NV Driver's License
• Experience as a cashier
• An interest or expertise in horticulture of Floriculture

Your Future Work Schedule:

Our Florist is open 6 days a week closed on Sunday.  We are looking for teammates are flexible to accommodate the changing retail environment.  Please make sure you list your availability on the application.
