Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000

About the Role:
Happier People Management is seeking a passionate and highly creative Floral Design Manager to lead our floral vision across a range of unique and design-forward spaces. This is a unique opportunity to lead floral design across a range of exciting projects and collaborations, working with a dynamic and creative team committed to exceptional experiences.

The Floral Design Manager will oversee floral execution for both event activations and weekly floral programs at our Brooklyn and Manhattan properties—ensuring brand consistency, quality, and a fresh, elevated aesthetic throughout.

You will be supported by two part-time floral associates—one focused on weekly floral maintenance and installations, and the other supporting event production and execution. This role reports to the Brand Experience Team and works in close collaboration with Events, Operations, and Property teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the floral concepting and execution for events, brand activations, and special projects.
  • Oversee weekly floral installations across properties at SAA and WSA.
  • Ensure cohesive design aligned with the brand’s creative vision and seasonal shifts.
  • Manage sourcing, ordering, and budget tracking for all floral-related materials.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams on event needs, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Supervise and mentor part-time floral associates, providing direction and feedback.
  • Manage floral inventory, tools, and workspace organization.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships with flower markets and suppliers.
  • Ensure florals are fresh, high-quality, and consistently maintained throughout their display lifecycle.
  • Participate in creative ideation for immersive environments, editorial shoots, or branded content as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4–5 years of professional floral design experience, preferably in events, hospitality, or luxury/lifestyle brands.
  • Proven experience designing for both small-scale and large-format activations.
  • Strong understanding of floral mechanics, seasonality, sourcing, and care.
  • Highly detail-oriented with an eye for balance, color, and form.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative, kind, and communicative—an energized team player.
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and comfortable working early mornings or weekends as needed for events.
