DescriptionCreates, arranges, and maintains miniature indoor landscapes (dish gardens, terrariums, planter boxes) using diverse plant species and decorative elements. Selects appropriate flora based on environmental needs, and ensures long-term plant health, blending artistic design with horticultural knowledge to create aesthetically pleasing, small-scale arrangements.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Creates unique, aesthetic arrangements using combinations of succulents, tropical plants, mosses, and decorative elements (rocks, figurines).
- Chooses appropriate plants based on lighting, moisture, and compatibility for indoor, enclosed, or semi-enclosed containers.
- Assembles containers, prepare soil mediums, and arrange plants according to design concepts.
- Provides ongoing care, including watering, pruning, pest control, and cleaning to ensure longevity.
- Runs the cash register occasionally.
Requirement
- Strong knowledge of indoor plants, tropicals, and succulents.
- An eye for design, color, balance, and composition.
- Previous experience in floral design, landscaping, or greenhouse work is preferred.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Time management to meet production deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with others in a teamwork setting.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
