Are you a joy to be around? Do you like listening to music or podcasts while driving around town? Do you like cake?

Sweet Treets Bakery is a local bakery focused on delighting our customers with artisanal, beautiful, and high-quality cakes and desserts. We are a 16-year-old business looking to bring on 1–2 more qualified drivers who are reliable, kind, and enjoy a fun challenge.

If you are a student, gig driver, or someone looking for something part-time (10–12 hours per week) to earn some extra money, and you have an energetic attitude, an eye for detail, and love working within a team environment, we want to meet you!

We are looking for experienced delivery drivers to deliver custom wedding cakes, treats, and bakery items to various locations in and around Austin. Previous bakery or cake decorating experience is a plus.

This position includes a weekly Thursday delivery to our food truck, as well as deliveries on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The driver will also be responsible for bringing food truck items back to the bakery on Sunday nights. Occasional weekday deliveries may also be needed.

Qualified Candidates Will:

  • Be reliable, on time, have a clean driving record, and be comfortable driving for extended periods in Austin traffic.
  • Have the ability to physically carry and transport large multi-tier cakes with extreme care and comfortably carry 30–50 lbs alone.
  • Have the ability to assist in decorating custom cakes (i.e., adding cake toppers and florals or arranging dessert tables). Training provided.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be able to visually examine products for quality and specifications.
  • Have a positive attitude and be willing to go the extra mile for our clients.
  • Have availability for Thursday food truck deliveries and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday deliveries, including Sunday night food truck returns, with flexibility for occasional weekday deliveries.
  • Have a smartphone with GPS capability, text messaging, and a camera.
  • Be willing to provide a clean driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate (required of all staff within 30 days of hiring).

We provide the delivery vehicles. Delivery routes average about 4–5 hours.
