As a Lead Florist at our shop, you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to executing beautifully designed floral bouquets and arrangements. Our shop operates in a partnership space, and we place great importance on maintaining respectful and positive relationships with our partners. Your expertise in floral preparation and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring that every bouquet aligns with The Bouqs brand and design standards. In addition to daily shop operations, you will lead the execution of events and weddings, mentor and train junior florists, and continuously grow as our business continues to grow and develop.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble floral arrangements and bouquets following the design specifications from Bouqs by using your skills in handling various flowers, foliage, and plants to create high-quality products
Inspect all floral elements to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with Bouqs standards to ensure consistency in bouquet appearance and overall presentation
Manage inventory of floral supplies to ensure an adequate stock of fresh flowers and necessary materials, while coordinating with the Shop Manager to restock inventory based on production requirements
Work closely with other team members, including designers, assistants, and the studio manager, to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to Bouqs designs
Communicate effectively within the team to understand project requirements and ensure timely execution
Demonstrate courtesy and consideration when interacting with partners and their team members operating within the partnership space
Keep the shop well-organized, clean, and equipped with the necessary tools and materials for executing Bouqs designs
Support and/or lead, when needed, on-site and off-site trainings, events, classes, etc.
Lead the execution of events and weddings, including planning, setup, and coordination with clients and partners to deliver exceptional floral experiences
Mentor and train junior florists, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their growth and development
Take guidance and feedback from corporate partners, your direct manager, and clients to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with clients and partners to understand their vision and preferences, incorporating feedback into floral designs and event execution
Qualifications:
3+ years of floral experience as a florist with a focus on executing floral designs
Knowledge of various flowers, foliage, and plants, along with proficiency in handling and preparing them
Passionate for sustainability and eco-friendly practices in the floral industry
Able to work collaboratively as part of a shop team and part of a larger group including corporate partners and other shops
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Able to adapt to various production demands and timelines
Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
Strong experience mentoring and training junior level team members

Compensation & Perks:
