Head Gardener / Horticulturist:

Actively tend to and maintain all landscaping for our championship golf course and property surrounding the course for both aesthetic and functional purposes. Your passion and eagerness will provide a quality product for members & guests to enjoy during regular tee-times, member tournaments or sponsored events.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all ornamental plant materials at the Club.
  • Design flower/shrub beds.
  • Apply fertilizers, chemicals and any other medicares to plant material to insure proper health.
  • Trim and prune all hedges, shrubbery and other related plant material.
• Advises Superintendent on pruning, disease control and fertilizer on trees at Club.
• Supplies Clubhouse with cut flowers and arrangements as needed.
• Manages budget and inventory on related categories.
  • Submits budget items to Superintendent at the time of budget presentation.
  • Inventory control and cleanliness of equipment related to ornamental landscaping.
• Willing and able to assist in other areas if called upon by Superintendents.
  • Assist Grounds Crew with tasks related to maintenance of golf course.
  • Assist in shop projects with other managers.
• Team player with all associated departments within the club.
• Each employee of Brackett's Crossing is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management that the employee is capable of performing.

Desired Qualifications:

• Pesticide license (required or ability to obtain). High school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education or Associates Degree related to Horticultural Field and continuing related education or extensive experience in related field.

Position & Schedule:

• Seasonal, Non-Exempt, Mid- Level position. Schedule is flexible ensuring that necessary work is completed each week throughout the golf season. (Days and hours subject to change due to environment, tournaments and time of year).
