FLORAL MERCHANDISER | Floral Department

EMPLOYMENT TYPE | Full-Time, Salaried

SALARY | $55,000 per year

ASSIGNED TERRITORY | Covering Texas, Louisiana, and designated regions of Oklahoma and Arkansas.

SCHEDULED WORKDAYS | Monday through Friday. Weekend availability is required during peak floral holidays, including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and other major holiday periods as business needs require.

JOB SUMMARY | Sunshine Bouquet Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floral Merchandiser to service one of our key clients. This individual will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and merchandising high-volume fresh-cut flower displays. Floral Merchandisers represent our company and our products at the store level. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and thrives under minimal supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION | duties include, but are not limited to:

• Checking floral product quality and ensuring display compliance with planograms.
• Lead in re-setting new floral departments for grand openings and store remodels.
• Assist in training of floral manager in "ordering to sales" 
• Training and evaluating floral leads on the proper execution of the merchandising plan
• Completing and submitting customer reports.
• Access cold storage and warehouse area as needed.
• Occasionally moving palletized product using a manual pallet jack.
• Lifting and palletizing boxes when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS | Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must be able to travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• No allergies to floral materials or foliage
• Ability to follow planograms accurately
• High attention to detail when handling product
• Punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime during floral holidays
• Strong communication skills with supervisors and clients
• Adherence to all safety protocols at all times

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS | Candidates must have: 

• Experience supporting a field sales organization (highly preferred).
• Prior experience in the floral industry (required)
• Prior merchandising experience (required)
