Floral Assistant, The American Club

Opportunity

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist and support in the day to day operations of the Department
  • Support the installation of ‘Christmas’ across the resort
  • Assist in Christmas installation alongside Senior Design Team
  • Oversee ancillary rental inventory
  • Pulling items, checking them out and counting them to ensure all are returned
  • Oversee minor maintenance of rental items such as paint touch-ups & replacement items
  • Complete hands-on department responsibilities such as floral bucket washing and storage, flower processing and stem cleaning, laundering of department items, removal of garbage and resort watering.
  • Perform guest facing tasks such as answering department calls, along with complete deliveries to outlet businesses and department orders
  • Perform other duties as needed.

This is a part time opportunity working between the hours of
8:00am and 4:00pm, weekends and some weekdays.

Skills/Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Basic
    computer knowledge required
  • Some
    floral design experience, preferably in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Valid
    Drivers License required
  • The employee is frequently required to stand,
    walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently
    lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $15.00. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
