Seeking Agriculture Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year
12-Month Contract (226 days)
Valid Texas teaching certificate with Agriculture Science endorsement; at least 1 semester of student teaching or approved internship.
Knowledge of agricultural science and technology.
Knowledge of plant and animal science.
Linden-Kildare CISD is a 2A district located in Northeast Texas in Cass County.
Active 3-teacher program.
Strong work ethic, willing to work before school, after school, and on weekends.
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Classes to be taught:
- Floral Design
- Advanced Floral Design
- Wildlife/Forestry
Responsibilities:
- Serve in a 3-teacher department to the local FFA chapter, including planning and conducting leadership, career development, and competitive activities for students at the local, district, area, and state levels.
- Travel with students to local and major livestock shows, camps, conventions, conferences, meetings, etc.
- Oversee Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs, including assisting students in selecting and managing livestock projects.
- Ability to train a variety of LDE/CDE teams as well as participate in all aspects of FFA.
- Work well with other teachers to operate a comprehensive Agriculture Science program that offers a wide variety of courses and opportunities for students.
- Assist students in maintaining online record books using AET.
- Provide agricultural leadership in the community.
- Must be a positive role model for students and parents.
