Aquilla ISD is seeking a qualified and dedicated long-term substitute teacher to serve as the instructor for Floral Design and Principles of Agriculture. The substitute will be responsible for maintaining continuity of instruction, engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, and upholding the standards of the Aquilla ISD Agricultural Science program during the teacher’s absence.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide instruction in Floral Design and Principles of Agriculture according to district curriculum and TEKS requirements.
Maintain lesson plans and activities that align with course objectives.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, with an emphasis on safety in all lab or hands-on activities.
Supervise and assist students in practical applications such as floral arrangements and introductory agricultural projects.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure adherence to district and campus policies.
Communicate with administration and, as needed, parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Support students in developing leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through agricultural education.
